I love this unit

"I am so glad this unit is here . I haven't checked but hope its a core unit. Perhaps should include more around sustainability and reducing the eco footprint. For this upcoming generation it will be critical that they try and reverse the eco footprint so feel if we can really embed some solid teachings here it will be of benefit for children. In fact I will go so far to say this is the most important thing we can teach children - love of nature for mental health and sustainability for future generations . Lets plump this one up more!!!"

CHCECE037 - 2.2

"Unclear about exploring natural and constructed environment. Feel like the terms - natural environment, constructed environment, natural materials, constructed environments using natural materials etc etc are confusing in this unit."

"Agree. Term 'constructed environment' is confusing and could be misinterpreted"

TITLE

PERFORMANCE EVIDENCE

Evidence of the ability to complete tasks outlined in elements and performance criteria of this unit in the context of the job role, and:

CHCECE037-PE

"PE1: is not clear if the student is documenting the examples they see others providing or if they are documenting examples they have provided. This is difficult if the environment is not set up in a way that makes this possible for the student. PE2: Wonder if this should be engage with natural materials? In the unit there is a comparison between natural environments being those occurring naturally, and natural materials being those that occur in nature but are used in various ways to replace or reduce man made materials. This is challenging for a cert III to identify and use natural environments (in terms of how presented in the unit) when they may not have access to these or the capability of creating these opportunities, especially indoors."

Directly observed

""Alternate assessment method needs to be included for the circumstances where this can not OR does not occur. Suggest replace 'Directly observed' with 'Direct evidence needs to be gathered to demonstrate'...""
