SkillsIQ, under the direction of the Enrolled Nursing Industry Reference Committee, is undertaking a comprehensive update of Enrolled Nursing Qualifications, Units of Competency and an associated Skill Set within the HLT Training Package.
This review will inform potential changes to current Enrolled Nursing Qualifications, Units of Competency and an associated Skill Set to ensure skills training is in line with workforce needs and expectations.
The Health Training Package must be reflective of the contemporary requirements of industry. Specifically, in this circumstance, the skills required by Enrolled Nurses need to be aligned to exact work roles within health care settings in order to contribute to reducing or eliminating workforce shortages, particularly in regional and rural areas.
This project will update the Enrolled Nursing Training Package Products under the remit of the Enrolled Nursing Industry Reference Committee (IRC) in response to the Key Drivers for Change findings within the 2019 Enrolled Nursing Industry Skills Forecast.
SkillsIQ will therefore be undertaking a number of key activities to engage community stakeholders and VET professionals.
Further background on this project may be found on the Project Page
or in the Validation Guide which may be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
