This review will inform potential changes to current Enrolled Nursing Qualifications, Units of Competency and an associated Skill Set to ensure skills training is in line with workforce needs and expectations.

The Health Training Package must be reflective of the contemporary requirements of industry. Specifically, in this circumstance, the skills required by Enrolled Nurses need to be aligned to exact work roles within health care settings in order to contribute to reducing or eliminating workforce shortages, particularly in regional and rural areas.

This project will update the Enrolled Nursing Training Package Products under the remit of the Enrolled Nursing Industry Reference Committee (IRC) in response to the Key Drivers for Change findings within the 2019 Enrolled Nursing Industry Skills Forecast.

SkillsIQ will therefore be undertaking a number of key activities to engage community stakeholders and VET professionals.

Further background on this project may be found on the Project Page or in the Validation Guide which may be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

"Could you please add another point for voluntary assisted dying? because VAD has been legalised in Victoria last July 2019, so it is important that students are aware of this."

"There is an issue with repeating requirements - -Professional practice standards, codes and guidelines -Code of Ethics for nurses in Australia and the Code of conduct for nurses -Codes of practice -NMBA nursing practice guidelines, standards and fact sheets. Should all of these be just Code of Ethics ICN, Code of Conduct, EN Standards of Practice , Registration Standards? There is no Social Media Policy just Social Media guidelines according to NMA. Insurance requirements including PII should only be PII. In life and death issues - living will isn't a legal term, should only say Advanced Healthcare Directive."

"Why is there Voluntary Assisted Dying as well as Euthanasia & Assisted Suicide? Surely Voluntary Assisted Dying is enough. "Not for Resuscitation" is outdated terminology. Should be using Acute Resuscitation Plan."
