Public Sector - Draft 2
SkillsIQ, under the direction of the Public Sector Industry Reference Committee (IRC), has undertaken a project to update the Qualifications and Units of Competency within the PSP Public Sector Training Package that cater to the Governance and Trade Measurement sub-sectors in order to ensure that the skills and knowledge requirements for people working in these environments in State, Territory and Federal jurisdictions meet current and future sector needs.

The Draft 2 validation period will seek feedback on the following seven Qualifications, associated Skill Sets and Units of Competency:
- PSP20116 Certificate II in Government
- PSP30116 Certificate III in Government
- PSP40116 Certificate IV in Government
- PSP50116 Diploma of Government
- PSP60116 Advanced Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspection/Investigations/Fraud Control)
- PSP40516 Certificate IV in Trade Measurement
- PSP50516 Diploma of Trade Measurement.
National consultation on Draft 1 took place from 07 July 2021 to 04 August 2021.
Consultation Activities and Timelines
Following the close of the consultation period, feedback received was collated and evaluated. This feedback has informed the development of Draft 2, which will be publicly available as part of this validation, prior to the submission for endorsement.
National validation on Draft 2 will be open from Wednesday, 25 August 2021 and will close at 5.00pm AEST on Wednesday, 08 September 2021.
Following the close of Draft 2 validation, all feedback received will be collated and provided to the Public Sector IRC to inform the development of the Final Draft in preparation for submission to the AISC for approval.

Throughout the Draft 2 validation period, SkillsIQ will be undertaking a number of activities to engage with stakeholders in order to gather feedback. These will include a series of national consultation webinars and stakeholder interviews.
