Visual Merchandising Training Package Products - Draft 1
SkillsIQ, under the direction of the Wholesale and Retail Industry Reference Committee (IRC), has undertaken a project to develop a new Advanced Diploma of Visual Merchandising and associated Units of Competency to update the SIR Retail Services Training Package Qualifications to align to the changing duties of existing and future job roles for all Visual Merchandisers.

Draft 1 consultation is now open for the following Qualification and Units of Competency:
- SIRXXX21 Advanced Diploma of Visual Merchandising (New)
Units of Competency
- SIRRMERXXX Design and construct visual merchandising display element (New)
- SIRRMERXXX Develop and implement creative photographic styling solution (New)
- SIRRMERXXX Develop and implement visual merchandising strategy for a brand (New)
- SIRRMERXXX Improve customer brand experience using visual merchandising (New)
- SIRRMERXXX Plan a career in visual merchandising (New).
Consultation Activities and Timelines
National consultation on Draft 1 will take place from Wednesday, 23 December 2020 and will close at 5.00pm on Friday, 12 February 2021. A Consultation Guide, which should be read in conjunction with the Draft 1 Training Package Products, is available for download at the bottom of this page.
Following the close of the consultation period, feedback received will be collated and evaluated. This feedback will inform the development of Draft 2, which will be made publicly available for validation prior to the submission for endorsement.
