Dianne Dayhew - Executive Officer – SkillsIQ NSW ITAB
Dianne has over 20 years' experience in the Vocational Education sector.
She started a career in Vocational Education and Training in the mid-90’s, following work as a UWS visual arts teaching academic, with tertiary qualifications in visual arts and primary education. By the mid-90’s Dianne had also earned twelve years of experience working in hospitality and retail to support her studies.
Her first VET role was in group training company establishment and management for the arts, media and entertainment industries. Dianne established and managed three group training operations in both the arts and property services industries, and later worked with high profile organisations including SOCOG, SPOC (for the Paralympics) and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). As a Senior Executive with ABC Human Resources for ten years, she was responsible for the training and development of managers and leaders as well as wider OD programs, such as the ABC Values at Work program. At the ABC she developed the roll out of the first accredited training for ABC Shops’ staff and store managers. Dianne also participated in the ABC’s HR Executive team to resolve wider ABC HR strategies and challenges. Over these ten years she was also a Board Director for Arts Training NSW, and chaired this NSW ITAB for four years.
Dianne worked with the Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council (CPSISC) for seven years. She managed CPSISC’s Construction and Select Property Services NSW ITAB for two years, and later became CPSISC’s General Manager, Policy. Her papers and publications included VET in Schools for the Construction industry, the Decade On report, and the 2015 and 2016 Environmental Scans. She also worked with the CPSISC Board to research Apprenticeships of the Future.
Prior to joining SkillsIQ in 2018, Dianne worked with an industry association RTO / GTO as General Manager, to review operations for its SRTO15 compliance.
