How We Work

AT SKILLSIQ WE PARTNER CLOSELY WITH OUR CLIENTS TO UNDERSTAND THEIR UNIQUE NEEDS AND GOALS, TAILORING SOLUTIONS TO MAKE AN IMPACT

OUR APPROACH

We partner with industry, government, training providers and communities to develop workforce solutions that are practical, future-focused and aligned with real-world needs. As a not-for-profit, independent organisation, we are trusted to deliver high-quality, evidence-based services including workforce planning, training implementation support, and the development of occupational standards, qualifications, and micro-credentials.

Our ISO 9001:2015 accreditation reflects our commitment to excellence, integrity, and rigour in every project we undertake.

We take a collaborative, client-driven approach to your projects, whether it relates to understanding current skills gaps, identifying future workforce needs, or co-designing strategies that translate policy into practice. Using a range of engagement methods - including workshops, forums, interviews, webinars and surveys - we are able to gather rich insights from across the workforce ecosystem. We are adept at consulting with employers, workers, training providers, peak bodies, government and community representatives as required, to ensure our outputs reflect lived experience and lead to practical, measurable outcomes. This inclusive approach has underpinned the success of numerous national and international projects, such as the Care Economy CRC bid, the development of micro-credentials for the aged care sector, the SkillsAware AI-driven recognition platform, and development and pilot implementation of APEC Occupational Standards for Tourism across multiple countries.

OUR EXPERIENCE

Our team has deep cross-sectoral expertise, with extensive experience in aged care, disability, health, education, tourism and hospitality, retail, local government and community services. We have worked with hundreds of businesses - many in regional and remote communities - to develop tailored workforce development programs, align business needs with accredited training, and support upskilling and reskilling initiatives. Whether it's mapping job roles to training pathways, helping regions respond to workforce shortages, or developing standards that shape national qualifications, we are committed to building a workforce that is adaptable, inclusive, and ready for the challenges of tomorrow. At SkillsIQ, we believe that capable people build resilient communities - and we’re here to help make that happen.
