Training Services Reports

SkillsIQ NSW ITAB is currently collecting data in relation to two important reports, via surveys which you are invited to participate in to provide your feedback. We will be holding two information sessions to provide an overview of the reports, to assist you in completing the survey.

Training Services has requested all ITABs engage with our industry stakeholders to gather information and feedback which will assist the Department in making decisions with respect to training over the next few years.

We are gathering data for two separate reports through a range of methods, including a separate survey relating to each report. To support you in this process, we will be conducting two information webinars, which will provide an overview of both reports and offer an opportunity for you to ask questions.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL LINKS TO REPORTS, SURVEYS AND WEBINARS ARE BELOW.

REPORTS

The first report is the Strategic Review of the Australian Apprenticeship Incentive System which is focused on understanding and improving the overall system.

We understand that many of you might say that there are no or few apprentices in our sectors, but we would like you to consider the questions from a traineeship perspective.

The second report is the Industry Training Priorities Report which is focused on getting a better understanding of what works and doesn't work from a training perspective and how the government might be able to adjust and better meet industry needs.

We understand that our sectors are not considered to be priority sectors, but it is important that we are able to provide relevant feedback to the department.

SURVEYS

Surveys will close on Monday, 1 September 2025.

This highlights the need to embrace open recognition and use AI-powered skills recognition systems like SkillsAware to validate real skills in the workforce, if we want to address the issue of productivity.
