SkillsIQ is seeking feedback on the draft Case for Change for proposed updates to the Beauty Services Training Package Products, within the SHB Hairdressing and Beauty Services Training Package. The Case for Change proposes the development of two new Qualifications relating to Cosmetic Tattooing and the provision of Skin Rejuvenation Treatments, and general modernising of Beauty Training Package Products.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker Training Package Development

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker Industry Reference Committee (IRC) has responsibility for seven qualifications, packaged in the HLT Health Training Package. The IRC has identified the need to review the qualifications that cater to this sector and submit a Case for Change to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee in the current review period.

Cross Sector Coordination across health and community services

The disability, aged care, mental health and primary care industries are undergoing significant reform, with policy changes allowing people to control their own funding. These reforms however will be felt broadly across the health and community services sectors. The shift to choice and control means that a more coordinated, person-led service delivery is needed to achieve better individual outcomes, safely and with dignity. SkillsIQ is conducting research to better understand, identify and evaluate cross-sector needs and roles and skills used by the health and community services sectors.
